MISSION
We Are S.E.E.D.S. Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 non profit whose mission is to provide mentorship to young girls ages 11-18 in underserved communities within the city of Philadelphia. We strive to help girls make better choices through exposure to alternative attitudes, environments and opportunities.
Our vision is that ALL girls in Philadelphia will have strong women in their lives providing guidance and training that will enable them to develop life skills preparing them to be women of excellence and integrity.
THE PHILOSOPHY
We are S.E.E.D.S. Inc. differs from other mentoring programs in that we connect dynamic professional women mentors to young girls in a supportive group setting. We use a unique approach to service delivery that includes:
Mentorship on Wheels – SEEDS employs a site based program in which mentors travel to sites throughout the city to meet girls in their supportive environment.
Small Group Mentoring – By working in small groups, mentors are able to increase our reach to young girls, reduce social isolation and encourage positive peer relationships.
