We Are S.E.E.D.S. Inc.

We Are S.E.E.D.S. Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit youth development organization and its mission is to provide Mentorship, Self-Enhancement, Educational, Social, Leadership, and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs, Life Skills Training, and Support Mechanisms to help young girls city wide between the ages of 11 and 18, particularly those in under served and distressed communities to become more productive citizens and women of excellence and integrity!

We Are S.E.E.D.S. Inc. vision includes, but is not limited to building a state of the art Enrichment Training and Activities Center for young girls. The facility will serve as a safe haven that will be conducive to learning, sharing and developing social and life skills, while preparing young girls for college and the workforce.

We were featured in the September 2009 Edition.  Here’s an excerpt:

“Today, the organization runs on donations and spends between $150,000 and $175,000 mentoring about 250 girls per year. The organization’s impact is evident in its 0% teen pregnancy and high school dropout rate. Grades of girls in the program improve by about 75%, which is monitored through tutoring services. The organization is working on funding for a full-time staff.”
